Be true to your fitness journey
‘We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit — Will Durrant
In every thing that we do, with every move that we make, every choice, every step, we are either hindering our progress or working towards our goal with determination.
Sometimes it may seem impossible and you will want to quit; that’s not a unique feeling.
Success comes when you instead push past that feeling, overcome doubt and frustration and go for what you really want without further hesitation.
Spring is in the air.
Temperatures are rising, the breeze is refreshing; it’s just warm enough to wear those shorts paired with a cute ankle boot.
But what does this mean for your goals? Is it too late to work on your fitness and wellness goals? It’s never too late!
It’s not the end of the world if you haven’t fully committed to your “new year’s resolutions” that seemed so attainable in January. The fact is that the road to success, though created through daily habits and commitments, is still up and down. It is not a straight line.
Once you accept this fact, your journey will be that much more sweeter!
Accept that all of your meals will not be healthy, that a workout will be missed and a night out will happen.
That’s human, that’s life.
Live it unapologetically, recognising that the life of fitness and wellness is not eating 100 per cent clean, never missing a workout, nor maintaining 5 per cent body fat (if this is not your genetic norm).
So you’re behind on January goals now that spring is here?
Make the necessary changes now to get closer to success.
Do so every day with determination and a mindset that you can be successful.
Do not now dwell on the ‘what ifs’ of the past, focus on the road ahead and what it will take to become successful.
When you figure that out, make yourself accountable and then go out there and crush it!
There’s no rule to when goals should be accomplished, so keep your vision clear, unclouded with someone else’s journey, only laser-focused on what is needed for you to succeed.
Happy hump day fitfam! Continue to be honest with your efforts and true to your journey — remaining unapologetic about putting yourself first.
